Picture of Haven Elementary Teachers Halloween Costumes

Elementary students at The Haven had a fun month of October! We started the month with a field trip to Cave of The Winds. We learned about the different zones in a cave, different animals and insects that live in those zones, and the different structures of caves. Students got to tour the cave and learn the history of how the caves were discovered. Explorers would belly crawl for hours to see these underground wonders. We were definitely glad we got to walk upright for our tour! The 4th and 5th graders got a little spooky and went to the darkest part of the cave on a flashlight tour.

Some elementary students joined us in walking during the Community Parade. We passed out candy, and had a great time shouting loudly to represent The Haven!

Our second annual Halloween Parade took place on Wednesday 10/29. Our teachers were inspired by Jory John's collection of feel-good stories and dressed as The Good Egg, The Bad Seed, and The Smart Cookie. We visited different offices at the S.A. Wilson building and The Central Administration building.
